Craft and materials
We build with joinery and glue rather than screws or nails, then hand-finish the oak with a pet-safe blend of tung oil and beeswax to bring out the grain without adding gloss. The bed is made to last, with a finish you can refresh over time and a build that can be repaired if ever needed.
Our mattress covers are made using British wool textiles from Abraham Moon, chosen for their quality, durability and naturally hypoallergenic properties. The result is a bed that feels considered from every angle: comfortable for your dog, and calm in your home.
Sizing
The Large cushion measures 1100mm x 770mm.
We generally recommend it for dogs up to around 90cm nose-to-tail and weighing up to roughly 40kg, depending on build and how they like to sleep. Breed examples include Labrador, Golden Retriever, Boxer, Dalmatian, Greyhound, German Shorthaired Pointer, and similar-sized dogs.
If your dog is long-bodied or loves to fully stretch out, Large is usually the best choice.
